The shop-build is really gathering momentum now, with the inside all kitted out with a proper floor, a back door, front door and even some snazzy baskets, just waiting to be filled with produce! We have a chiller cabinet in place, although at the moment it’s doubling...
We've "liberated" this from a FB Friend, who is also in the hospitality industry. And yes, we agree with every single word. Thank you for reading. Please feel free to share 🙏
Customers, these are not our rules, but we will follow and enforce them no exceptions!
We have been advised by an Area Manager of another pub chain that operates in the local area of the following:-
One of their pubs had been visited by Licencing Officials as "Customers".
A customer got up to go to the toilets WITHOUT wearing his face mask.
On his way to the toilet he asked the Bar Staff for a pint, which was poured and on his way back from the toilet collected his pint from the bar.
The 2 Licencing Officials made themselves known to the staff & The Premises Licencee received a fine of £ 1,000 even though he was not there.
The Bar Staff received a fine of £ 200 for failing to challenge the customer for not wearing a face mask.
The Customer received a fine of £ 100 for not wearing a mask/covering.
A second pub has LOST their Premises Licence for allowing two customers to wait in the doorway for a taxi at 10:10pm, there must be NO members of the public on site past 10pm that is why we call last orders at 9pm to give you time to be served and depart in good time for closing.
When you come in we understand that you feel that you are being spied on by the government because you have to do track and trace.
We understand you're fed up that you need to put on a mask to come in.
We know that rule of 6 is not great for you and your friends and a night out is not the same at the moment.
We know that 10pm is a shitty time to be told to go home!
WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY LIVING IN NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, THERE IS A WORLDWIDE HEALTH PANDEMIC GOING ON and people seem to have become ignorant about the forced changes.
We are NOT nagging you because we like the sounds of our own voices or we are getting a kick out of refusing entry and service, we are FOLLOWING THE LAW and for good reason.
MASK ON - SANITISE - SIGN IN - SIT DOWN - WAIT TO BE SERVED - ENJOY YOUR DRINK!
Masks and check in are MANDATORY BY LAW.
We require patience while waiting to be served, at busy times there will be a queue!
MYSELF AND MY STAFF ARE NOT WORKING AS HARD AS WE ARE TO PAY FINES BECAUSE SOME CUSTOMERS CANT BE ARSED TO FOLLOW THE LAW.
NO MASK - NO CHECK IN:-
NO SERVICE - NO EXCEPTIONS!
Thank you for reading 🍻 take care x
